Le Biscuit sells thousands of home and lifestyle products, and the storefront had to present offers, categories and best sellers without collapsing under the merchandising calendar. This case is the desktop storefront: the promotional bar, the category carousel, the offer grid and the best sellers carousel.
The visible screens sit on top of a larger change: a headless e-commerce architecture on VTEX IO with a component based design system, so design and content could be authored from the same schemas.
What I did
- Modernized the e-commerce architecture with VTEX headless CMS (VTEX IO and FastStore), decoupling front end from back end.
- Architected a component based design system from scratch, aligned with modular content schemas and NN/g best practices.
- Streamlined content publishing workflows through cross functional interviews and requirements gathering.
- Trained the development team on design systems and componentization for implementation inside VTEX IO.
Outcome
Design system and CMS schemas aligned, shortening content publishing cycles.
